Two branches of the Green Line will each be shut down for a month apiece this summer, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority officials announced on Thursday, part of an accelerated repair program that will see parts of all four subway lines as well as the Silver Line taken out of use at some point in 2020.
The Green Line’s C branch from Kenmore to Cleveland Circle will be closed in July, and the E branch from Prudential to Heath Street will be offline in August. The T promised to provide shuttles to replace the trolleys.
Here are some recently all changed information in Green Line. The service changes are as following:
● GreenLine B: Between Boston College and Babcock Street (weekends, late May – June)
● GreenLine C: Between Cleveland Circle and Kenmore (full weekday and weekend closure, July)
● GreenLine D: Between Riverside and Kenmore (nights and weekends, January – December)
● GreenLine E: Between Heath Street and Prudential (full weekday and weekend closure, August)
According to MBTA , it will improve the service for more than 50,000 riders nearly 2 years faster than previously planned with 28-day closures. Each 28-day closure is equivalent to 1 full year of weekend and night closures on the C and E lines. Work on the Green Line includes intersection upgrades plus track replacement on 25% of the Green Line (10.8 miles)

● GreenLine D :
○ Between Reservoir and Kenmore
Weekend, February 1 - March 1
Shuttle runs all day on Saturday and Sunday.

March 2 - March 26, 2020
Monday - Thursday after 8:45 pm
March 6 - March 31, 2020
Weekend, 8:45 pm on Friday until Monday morning
● GreenLine E
○ Between North Station and Lechmere
May 2020 - April 2021
There will be shuttle operations EVERDAY.
